Secret Santa

This year the students and I will be participating in Secret Santa exchange in both classrooms Grade 4/5 and Grade 6). Christmas is a time for family and I feel like both of my classes are like family to me!! We laugh together and spend many moments discussing interesting topics just like we all do with our families at home.

Grade 4/5 names have already chosen names and Grade 6 names will be chosen on Monday. I have explained to the students that there is no need to purchase a gift. The gift can be a nice gesture (ex: carry school bag for a day) or a handmade gift (ex: baking, homemade ornament, etc). If your child does decide to purchase a gift, a $10-$15 maximum amount was discussed in our class.

Grade 4/5 gifts will be exchanged on Thursday, December 21st and the Grade 6 gifts will be exchanged on Wednesday, December 20th. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact me thru your child's agenda.

Homework resumes this week!

Please be advised that homework has resumed this week as usual. Don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns about homework and/or the classroom.

Homework this week

No parents, you aren't reading your child's agenda wrong. There is NO homework this week. Every so often I offer a break for the students, and myself so we can catch up on unfinished work in the class. Usually, homework will be a review of the previous week's work but like I mentioned we are trying to play a little catch up so there is no need to review.

Progress Reports & Photos

Yesterday progress reports were sent home and we are asking that the envelope be brought back along with the bottom portion of the second page. We would like to be environmentally friendly by using the same envelope for the entire year.

Photo previews are being sent home today. Orders are due on November 9th.
